Friday Tech Newz: Best Buy Mayhem
Now a days we lock up our phones and accounts with multiple layers of security. And if mom asks to check through your Facebook, we shutter and say “How dare you !?”
What some people over look is the people that actually help us and are the tech overlords of the technology we use.
A man that was getting his phone repaired in Best Buy was in for a big suriprise when he got home. He logged into his Facebook he saw his status which was “I am gay. Im coming out.” After that status was posted, his phone started ringing off the hook with surprised reactions from his Facebook friends.
This Best Buy Employee violated a contract(Code of Ethics) that is signed yearly as a Best Buy Employee. This contract includes details on how the are expected to handle a customers information.
Right now Dewberry is exploring what legal options he has.
I myself has had some bad experiences with Best Buy, like once, I went their and they had me wait in line, then to tell me they can’t fix a problem on my phone that I later fixed in no time after some research online.
Just a while ago in a Best Buy store, a naughty picture popped up on the big flat screen tv which some customers weren’t that pleased with.
Looks like Best Buy needs to have a meeting with their employees and straigten them out.
this relates to me because if this guy ever did that to me.. Id find him, and hog tie him while messaging his mother on Facebook. But on the serious note, this should be illegal and this Employee should be fired.
